Land of Learning is an activity book experience that I created for my graphic design thesis project for kids immigrating from another country.
When I was 8 I moved to the US with my mom and did not speak any english. My mom always taught me to look at life through the lens of adventure, and so I wanted to create something that would turn an experience that could be scary, like moving to another country and learning a new language, and make it into an adventure.
With this book immigrant kids will be able to take their new friend Amicus (based on my beloved dog Annie) and document each part of their journey as they learn a new language and experience a new life in the United States.
